Emergence of Web 2.0

After reading Time's Magazine's "Time's Person of the Year: You", I think that the future of Web 2.0 is a bright one because people will never stop being curious about other human beings and what other people think. Also, there will be an endless need for human interaction and expression, especially in the younger people of society. Web 2.0 opens provides the necessary tools to satisfy these needs, which is why it has exploded and gained such widespread popularity so quickly. The idea of Web 2.0 is similar to the idea of the Internet. The Internet has made it possible to easily interact with people anywhere in the world, which is both interesting and convenient for everyone. This is exactly how Web 2.0 can be explained. It provides mediums for people to learn from each other, and even learn about themselves, without leaving their home.

I strongly agree with the beginning and ends of the article. History has been dominated by the actions of the rich and famous, or ordinary people that have done something extraordinary. Now, it is possible for everyone to be a part of the progression of the human race through the use of Web 2.0 and the contributions, however small, that are made towards a cause. Furthermore, as previously stated, Web 2.0 provides a convenient way for people to feed their curiosity about the rest of the world and the people that inhabit it by simply turning on the Internet and accessing information and videos concerning the topic of choice.
